Who are we?

Eztabaida / Debate: is a collective project to create an open-access audiovisual archive, with open participation and without any profit motive. Its objective is to disseminate, study, and preserve current and historical truths from a Marxist class perspective, with an open national consciousness also open to other interpretations and visions. We believe in the importance of safeguarding collective memory from a committed perspective focused on class struggle.

What do we do?

We are involved in the creation, collection, storage, categorization, and dissemination of all audiovisual material that reflects the truth and its interpretation when it has social, critical, or differential interest. We also emphasize the preservation of material that is in danger of disappearing, either because it has not been previously published or because its custodians are organizations or individuals who are unable to manage the material.

What is our area of operation?

Due to our organizational structure, our main area of operation is the Spanish state, encompassing all nations and peoples that exist today. However, we are not limited to collecting material from this geography; we are open to using our platform for other geographies or circumstances.

Who is it for?

It is for any individual, educational institutions, and political dissemination channels when they seek audiovisual material for any use within and outside our area of operation. There are no restrictions; if the material is useful to you, it is for you.

What principles govern our decisions?

We consider Eztabaida / Debate to be a space for free distribution and open participation for all currents with a class consciousness, regardless of their spheres and methods of struggle. Our foundation is to give voice, add images, and project the Debate. Therefore, our principles are:

  1. Organizational independence.
  2. Plurality in the revolutionary approach.
  3. Open access: We believe that knowledge is a common good, not a commodity.
  4. Commitment to memory: We try to rescue what is forgotten or silenced so that it does not disappear.
